Listen: Phoenix Release New Song ‘J-Boy’

Band announces upcoming album 'Ti Amo'

It’s been four long years since Phoenix released their previous album Bankrupt!, following 2009’s critically acclaimed Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, and now the French disco-rock group are back with a new single and album to boot.

The band shared “J-Boy” today on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 Radio show, as well as detailing the plans for their next album Ti Amo. In a press release according to Pitchfork, the band describes the new album as “simple, pure emotions: love, desire, lust, and innocence.”

“It’s also a record about our European, Latin roots, a fantasized version of Italy: a lost paradise made of eternal Roman summers (hyper-light, hyper-clarity, pistachio gelato), jukeboxes on the beach, Monica Vitti and Marcello Mastroianni, fearless desire and antique marble statues.”

Ti Amo is set to release on June 9th via Glassnote Records. Listen to “J-Boy” below:
