Listen: The Shins Tease New Music From Upcoming Album

Get a sneak peak.

After The Shins‘ last album release in 2012, Port of Morrow, the band has teased what sounds like a new track. The Shins’ posted a #shinstagram of a snippet of their new music with a hashtag of James Mercer’s record label, Aural Apothecary.

Recently it was revealed that The Shins would be releasing a new album in 2016, after a subscription email from Columbia told fans “New year, new music!” It was previously unclear whether James Mercer would return to The Shins, since his involvement in his Danger Mouse co-ventured project Broken Bells has kept him busy.
