Listen: White Hot Guilt Release First Single ‘Little Things’

July Talk's Josh Warburton and Toronto producer Thomas D'Arcy launch side project

Change served as a catalyst to bring July Talk’s Josh Warburton and producer Thomas D’Arcy (Small Sins/BROS./Tommy Hawkins) together for their new side project White Hot Guilt. Taking a break from their respective gigs led to the pair readying material for a July 21st release date for their self-titled debut EP (TDM Inc.). White Hot Guilt have shared the EP’s first single, “Little Things,” and it’s a whole lot of fun.

On top of crafting some breezy indie-meets-electro dance music, the pair are donating all proceeds from sales of the EP to ‘SKETCH‘ – a Toronto-based community-arts-development initiative that creates equitable opportunities for young people homeless and on the margins from across Canada to experience the transformative power of the arts. Indie88 also works with ‘SKETCH’ as a charity partner.

Listen to “Little Things” below.

“The carefree vibe to each writing session was helping me feel passionate about music again,” Warburton said in a release. “It was kind of like being transported back to those early days of jamming in your parents’ garage, with no expectations. The only rule was to keep it fun.”

Here’s a look at the artwork for the forthcoming release.
