Mac DeMarco is playing a (kinda) secret show + Streaming ‘Another One’

We’re only days away from the release of Mac DeMarco’s Another One, but the surprises just keep on coming. Well, it’s not a surprise officially, — but we’re pretty sure. Sunday night, Baby’s All Right, a venue in Williamsburg NYC posted the following image about a surprise performer for tonight.

Guess who's playing Baby show tomorrow?

Taken from a MAD Magazine Harry Potter special, the image shows a goofy looking, gap-toothed wizard. If that sounds familiar, you’d be in the likes of John Agnello who commented that it’s “Mat DeMarco. Tell us that doesn’t sounds PRETTY similar to Mac DeMarco. And if that doesn’t give it away then take into consideration that the opening band is called “Another Juan”.

Since most of us wont be able to make it to Mac’s show tonight in NYC though, there’s still plenty to be excited about. His mini-LP Another One comes out this Friday, which he’s also made available to stream right now.

And if that’s not enough Mac for you, he released a cover of Eric Clapton’s “Change The World” over at Stereogum, but you can watch it above.

Well played, Mac.
