Max’s Big Ride Wins A Billboard

See Andrew and Max at Bay and Bloor AND at Yonge Eglinton Centre

It’s bigger! It’s better! It’s back! Presenting “Win a Billboard” from Indie88 and Outfront Media.

This year we made it bigger by giving away THREE giant billboards to one lucky listener, seen by over 4.5 million people! One huge poster billboard towering above the streets at Bay and Bloor, and a message in lights on two massive digital outdoor screens and on 45 more digital interior screens at Yonge Eglinton Centre.

After hundreds of entries and thousands and thousands of votes, Indie88’s listeners have chosen “Max’s Big Ride” as our grand prize winner! Here is the winning entry:

Max’s Big Ride by Andrew Sedmihradsky

This summer my four-year old son Max and I will ride a cargo bike 600 km from Ottawa to Hamilton to raise

money for research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a disease that currently has no cure.

We expect to have a lot of fun and eat lots of ice cream along the way but this ride has a serious side too as Max suffers from DMD – a disorder that gradually weakens the body’s muscles.

Max is a happy and active boy now, but the future looks scary as most boys with DMD are in a wheelchair by the time they are twelve and have a life expectancy of twenty-something years.

In order to maximize the success of our ride, we need to share our story as widely as possible – and 3 billboards in downtown Toronto would be massive and completely amazing!

But wait, there’s more! We also surprised all the other finalists as their billboard entries will also be shown in rotation on the giant digital screens outside Yonge Eglinton Centre and inside at Centre Court! Look up and see the winning concepts over the next four weeks! Congratulations to our finalists, our grand prize winner, and thank you to everyone that entered and voted. And a special thank you to our friends at Outfront Media for making it all happen.
