Mayor John Tory to Launch “Live from City Hall” Music Series

Who doesn't love free music?

Look out Toronto, Mayor John Tory is launching a free music series beginning this Thursday January 7th.

“Live from City Hall” will feature Toronto-based artists to perform concerts approximately twice each month in a long overdue attempt to promote Toronto’s music scene.

The first performance will be held at the Rotunda at City Hall Thursday January 7th, from 5-7PM and feature folk-roots band The Young Novelists and R&B and soul collective The Muso Project. Mayor John Tory will be in attendance.

The series comes after the Toronto Music Advisory Council’s launch of a music strategy survey last December, gathering suggestions from the public to improve the city’s existing music scene.
