Watch: Dexter’s Michael C Hall Embodies David Bowie at Mercury Prize

"It's time for you to go."

The late David Bowie, who sadly passed away this January, didn’t win at last night’s 2016 Mercury Prize ceremony, but the legendary musician was saluted in a very epic way.

On Thursday evening, Michael C. Hall played homage to Bowie, taking the stage to perform Bowie’s song Lazarus, from the album Blackstar, released by the Bowie only two days before he passed.

This isn’t the first time the Dexter star embodied the late musician. Last year, the actor appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and gave his best Bowie performance – that is, until last night.

Hall, who plays the lead in Bowie’s off-Broadway New York production, Lazarus, one of the last projects Bowie completed before his death, will be reprising the role when it heads to London this fall.

Watch the epic performance below.
