North by Northeast unveiled the full lineup slated to play the 2017 Port Lands music festival, with Yukon Blonde, Tinie Tempah, Amir Obè, Lizzo, River Tiber, and more added to the bill Wednesday.
Headliners Passion Pit, Tyler, The Creator, and Post Malone were announced for the June 23-25 downtown festival in March. The lineup also includes Bleachers, Sleigh Bells, The Soul Rebels Ft. Talib Kweli, Twin Peaks, and more. Here’s a look at the complete lineup.
“Since our inception, NXNE has proudly built up the reputation of curating a festival that always includes a strong element of discovery,” said Michael Hollett, president and managing director of NXNE, in a release. “With this year’s Port Lands lineup, we have brought together some of the biggest performers in the world as well as a fantastic group of artists who are about to be launched into the musical stratosphere.”
The Port Lands festival is set for June 23-25, while the festival’s gaming component at Dundas Square begins June 16 and the club series starts on June 19. NXNE has embraced its sense of discovery for the festival’s 23rd year.
“We have a lot of festivals in Toronto, which is great,” Hollett told Indie88 in March. “It has become a music tourism destination, but we all have to have our own unique flavour. We’re definitely going younger, I think we have a lot more hip-hop and soul than other festivals in Toronto and we’ve got fantastic indie rock.”
