NXNE is changing things up this year, adding a whole bunch of new interactive programs and events around the city like their new gaming expo, and incredible new Port Lands stage. Take a look at the different programming the festival has to offer this year:
CLUB LAND – JUNE 13 – 19
NXNE continues to program events in key Toronto clubs and venues across the city, this year in partnership with Collective Concerts.
FUTURE LAND CONFERENCE – JUNE 15
This new Interactive, Music and Gaming Conference for music and gaming industry types will shed light on how musicians and labels can leverage the power of the gaming world for exposure. Featuring special guest speaker, the genius ATARI founder, Nolan Bushnell.
PORT LANDS – JUNE 17/18
For the first time, NXNE will host a ticketed “festival within a festival” experience at the Port Lands with two days of live bands, art installations, food trucks and more.
Friday features legendary LA rapper Schoolboy Q as headliner. Ghostface Killah, Shamir, Daniel Caesar,Mick Jenkins, Tasha the Amazon and Ivory Coast reggae rebel Tiken Jah Fakoly also perform.
Saturday’s line-up consists of headliner Father John Misty, Mother Mother, Dan Mangan, The Zolas and The Devin Cuddy Band with special guest Jim Cuddy.
GAME LAND – JUNE 16/17/18
NXNE will take over Yonge-Dundas Square with live gaming, E-sports and LOUD on Planet X as well as demo gaming opportunities and music.
