Oddane Taylor and the Transformative Power of SKETCH

Watch the mini-documentary on Oddane and the work being done by SKETCH

Oddane Taylor emigrated to Canada in 2002 from Kingston, Jamaica. SKETCH, a Toronto-based organization that sees opportunity where so many others may overlook it, supported Oddane’s journey from homelessness to becoming an inspiring musician, performing artist, entrepreneur, youth worker, and motivational speaker.

Oddane’s lyrics touch on his journey from uncertainty to beat the odds. His melodies and rhymes are inspired by several styles, such as reggae, R&B, soul, pop, and hip hop and rap. Now, he’s giving back to the organization that played a major role in helping him achieve his goals.

Indie88 is pleased to premiere a mini-documentary on Oddane and the great work being done at SKETCH.

SKETCH’s mission statement:

SKETCH creates opportunities for young people (ages 16 to 29) living street involved, homeless or otherwise on the margins, to experience the transformative power of the arts; to build leadership and economic self-sufficiency in the arts; and to cultivate social and environmental change through the arts.

Indie88 is proud to support SKETCH Working Arts by donating funds and inviting our audience to learn about and support SKETCH.
