You Could Learn Parkour At A Toronto Power Plant During Luminato

Toronto's Luminato Festival will feature workshops this June.

Toronto’s Luminato Festival is taking advantage of the abandoned Hearn Generating Station as the location for the festival. What’s cooler than checking out some music, art, dance, and even learning some parkour in an old, abandoned power plant? NOTHING AT ALL.

Instead of sticking to their usual event format by hosting at venues across the city, Luminato’s programming will take place at Hearn from June 10 to 26.

Luminato is teaming up with Toronto’s Monkey Vault Team to organize parkour workshops for those active festival attendees.

And for those who would rather keep on the tame side, Luminato will be featuring exhibitions from the AGO, TIFF, the NFB and Design Exchange. Luminato will also have a performance of “Hallelujah” by Choir! Choir! Choir! on June 11.

And if you want to participate in something between tame and highly physical, why not check out the Yes Yes Y’all dance party on site?
