Passion Pit Share New Song, Unveil Musicians’ Health Initiative

Video comes in anticipation of Passion Pit's upcoming musician's healthcare project

At the end of January, Passion Pit mysteriously pinned a tweet to their profile with the quote “I call it a sea of love.” which is the sentence Donald Trump used to describe the “crowd” that showed up to his inauguration.

Today, the electropop indie band tweeted a teaser with new music on a YouTube channel called The Wishart Group, accompanied by the hashtag #seaoflove in the video’s description.

The Wishart Group is a company that has raised $250 million of funding for Passion Pit’s new project, as reported by Mashable. The project, which is being referred to as “Artist Research and Protection Service,” is actually a company founded by Passion Pit’s Michael Angelakos that will aim to provide support for musicians in a variety of different sectors, but mainly honing in on mental health support.

Angelakos himself has struggled with mental illness. He was diagnosed with bipolar disorder when he was 17.

Checkout the teaser video titled “Inner Dialogue” below, which also happens to feature some new music.
