Each year, the most groundbreaking Canadian musicians and industry folk alike, gather in the beautiful Carlu to celebrate the best of Canadian music from that year.
This year’s Polaris Music Prize was no different. With childhood hero Fred Penner hosting the annual awards gala, musicians, fans, and media sat together to listen to and enjoy music from Braids, Alvvays, Toronto Symphony Orchestra and more. And with a well deserved win to Buffy Ste. Marie for the $50,000 prize it was a night that ended as strongly as it began.
Raina, along with her very own red carpet to add a bit more glamour to the already ritzy Carlu, got the chance to chat with some of the biggest names of the night like Fred Penner, The New Pornographers and the creator of the Polaris Prize, Steve Jordan. Check out the video in the player above!
