Record for World’s Largest Human Peace Sign set at Glastonbury Festival

A 15,000 person effort more than doubled the previous record

An estimated 15,000 people participated in what was to be a world record setting attempt to create the largest human-made peace sign at Glastonbury Festival.

In the wake of terror attacks in London and Manchester, the effort was meant to encourage a feeling of unity and peace among community members. Though many participants admitted to being fearful of big crowds and the potential for Glastonbury to become the next target for attack, peace and love prevailed in the successful outcome of the event.
