The Red Hot Chili Peppers are the latest super stars to hop on the Bernie Sanders fundraising campaign.
The Democratic nominee, Senator Bernie Sanders has been gaining widespread support from the music community due to his sole reliance on grassroots funding for his campaign, rather than by corporate or Super-PAC funding.
Red Hot Chili Peppers’ fundraiser concert will take place in Los Angeles, February 5th at Theatre at Ace Hotel. Tickets range from $40 to $2,700 and will go on sale on the day of the show.
The members of RHCP have been vocal supporters of the Presidential candidate, namely their bassist Flea who tweeted this earlier this month:
bernie sanders is the only remotely reasonable candidate for president of the united states

They’ll be joining a growing list of superstars getting together to help Sanders fundraise. It was announced this week that Vampire Weekend, Foster the People and Run the Jewels would be playing at a separate, public rally for Sanders, January 30th at The University of Iowa’s Field House.
Vampire Weekend’s former lead guitar player Rostam Batmanglij announced yesterday that he was parting ways with the band. For the public rallly, frontman Ezra Koenig stated that the temporary show lineup will include himself, along with bassist Chris Tomson, Dirty Projectors’ Dave Longstreth, and Lucas Bros comedians.
