Riot Fest Is Not Coming to Toronto

Festival will stop only in Denver and Chicago

The once uncertain future of Riot Fest Toronto is now clear: the beloved rock/hip hop/punk festival will not be making a stop in Toronto this year.

Reports came in earlier this year that Riot Fest and Union Events who had co-represented the festival together for the past four years, would likely be unable to reach an agreement. This came after Union Events merged with Live Nation, to which their deal excludes Riot Fest.

On Monday, the festival posted to Facebook confirming the only two stops for Riot Fest would be Denver and Chicago, and would not be stopping in Toronto due to compatibility issues in their timeline. Take a look below:

Riot Fest co-founder Mike Petryshyn previously said in a statement:

“We wish Union Events the best of luck in their new venture…they’ve been great partners and have become our close friends. We are still sorting through the future plans for Riot Fest in Toronto but would like to thank the fans for their support these past four years.”
