Shia LaBeouf Arrested at ‘He Will Not Divide Us’ Protest

Peaceful protest goes wrong

Following his anti-Trump livestream protest, Shia LaBeouf has been arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault after he got into an altercation with another man.

The project went live the morning of Trump’s inauguration, and LaBeouf plans to have it run 24 hours a day for the next four years.

The livestream shows LaBeouf, along with many other supporters, looking into a camera mounted on a wall outside the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens, N.Y., and chanting “he will not divide us.”

Although a seemingly peaceful protest, LaBeouf has become aggressive with some counter-protesters who have shown up to the site.

LaBeouf has been charged for pulling on the scarf of a 25-year-old man, scratching his face in the process, and pushing the man, who refused any medical attention.

He was released from custody Thursday morning, and his court date is set for April 7th.
