Star Wars Episode VIII Will Be Titled ‘The Last Jedi’

Next chapter hits theatres December 2017.

The next chapter of the Star Wars saga has a name and it’s The Last Jedi.

Episode VIII, which follows The Force Awakens in the series, is currently set for a December release. With the title The Last Jedi, we’re left to wonder what’s going to happen to Luke Skywalker, who appeared at the conclusion of Episode VII when he was confronted by young Jedi protagonist Rey.

That iconic scene featured two Jedi, soooo take one away and we’ve got the last one left.

Episode IX is scheduled for a 2019 release and should conclude the series’ core set of films. A Han Solo anthology film will be released in 2018. A third, yet to be titled, anthology film will follow in 2020. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) was the first standalone anthology film to be released.
