If you haven’t spent sometime this summer binging on Stranger Things, than what have you been doing?
The critically acclaimed Netflix original series has inspired us all to test out our psychokinetic abilities, put up Christmas lights in July, and succumb to the nostalgic synth-sounds the supernatural story has bestowed upon us regular humans.
Following an overwhelming amount of fan requests, Netflix has released the soundtrack to the fantasy-thriller show.
The first instalment was digitally released, with a promised CD release following on September 16th. That’s only one month away!
The bleak, 80’s inspired soundtrack is available to stream in full, via Apple Music. The second volume is scheduled for digital release on August 19th and CD release on September 23rd.

The nostalgic soundtrack was created by Austin based synth band S U R V I V E — made up of Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein.
“We discussed having a classic tone and feel to the music for the show but being reserved enough that it wasn’t ’80s cheese, while offering a refreshing quality so that felt modern,” Stein said in a press release. “This was one of the qualities that drew them to our music in the first place. Having a familiarity with classic synths worked, but with an overall forward thinking approach.”
