Tanya Tagaq & Owen Pallett

The latest in the Live at Massey Hall series presents Tanya Tagaq & Owen Pallett, in association with Polaris Music Prize:

“Tanya Tagaq incorporates traditional Inuit throat singing with electronica, industrial and metal influences. She’s worked with artists as varied as Björk, Kronos Quartet, Mike Patton and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, and her most recent album, Animism, was awarded the 2014 Polaris Music Prize. Oscar-nominated violinist Owen Pallett, won the first Polaris Music Prize in 2006 for He Poos Clouds, which was recorded under the moniker Final Fantasy. Captivating audiences with little more than a violin and a loop pedal, Pallett’s music is created with the rigor of a classicist, but emerges as something far beyond classical music.”
