The McDonald’s Secret Menu is Really Real

We'll have one Monster Mac, please.

ATTENTION: McDonald’s will now take your fancy, secret order. The hidden menu items like the Pie McFlurry and the Grilled Cheese have been featured on #HackTheMenu for quite a bit now, and McDonald’s employees have finally confirmed the secret menu’s existence. A spokesperson recently talked to People about the menu. “We know our customers are really creative, and they tell us all the time that they enjoy customizing our menu,” the spokesperson said.

What does this mean? You can legitimately order a Monster Mac (a Big Mac with 8 beef patties and 8 cheese slices) or a Land, Sea & Air Burger (Big Mac and Filet-O-Fish and a McChicken). And, while you might get some weird looks, you’ll also get what you asked for.

Also, in a recent Reddit Ask Me Anything thread, a manager from the fast food giant said that you can “add, remove or change ingredients by special request. These are called ‘grill orders’.” If that doesn’t make it real, we don’t know what does.

“Order one and the workers might not know it by name,” the manager continued. “But if you explain what it is, and are willing to pay for all the ingredients, it’s just another ‘grill order’ that we can make up.”

Are you going to try secret menu items? Have you tried one? Let us know in the comments.
