The Rolling Stones Treat Us To A New Rendition of “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking”

To prepare us for the reissuing of Sticky Fingers, the Stones are giving us alternative renditions of classic songs

On June 8th, prepare yourself for the rerelease of the Rolling Stones’ always loved, never forgotten album, Sticky Fingers.

We’ve already heard a sample — the Stones gave us their acoustic and toned-down rendition of “Wild Horses” — and now they’ve given us another. The alt version of “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking” makes up in guitar riffs what it lacks in concluding jam sessions that listeners loved so much about the original. Take a listen below:

It’s rumoured that there will be more songs coming out right up until the album’s release. The album art, however, has caused a bit of a delay in production: just like its original 1971 cover, the Sticky Fingers reissue features a working zipper on the front which, as it turns out, is still just as hard to produce.

You can preorder the album ahead of time to make sure you don’t miss out on all the not-so-new and improved Stones music.
