The Strokes have requested fans to keep their eyes and ears open to help find Nick Valensi’s Epiphone guitar that was lost in transit between New York and Los Angeles. The band posted on their website urging fans to help with the search of the band member’s beloved guitar by searching on eBay and checking pawn shops.
Valensi’s guitar is described as a Natural colored, (orange-ish hue) 1995 Epiphone Riviera. The guitar’s unique features are pick guard has been removed and the headstock has an “E” on it. They are offering a $1000 reward to information that leads them to the guitar says a post made to their Facebook.
The band says Valensi is extremely “bummed” about losing the instrument and would appreciate anyone who has information about the guitar’s whereabouts to please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Strokes are currently in and out of studios recording the follow up album to 2013’s Comedown Machine. They were recently spotted in a rehearsal and recording studio in Monterrey while in town for the Mexico’s Live Out Monterrey Festival.
