The War on Drugs Share ‘Holding On’, Announce New Album

Following 2014's 'Lost in the Dream'

There’s almost too many great albums that have come out or are set for release this summer, and it appears there’s another to add to the list. On August 25th The War on Drugs plan to release their new record, A Deeper Understanding.

The announcement was made today with the release of “Holding On,” a jazzy rock tune that dials up the Bruce Springsteen to 110%. “Holding On” follows “Thinking of a Place”, a brilliant eleven-minute track released on Record Store Day.

A Deeper Understanding is said to be a true “band record,” utilizing all band members as key contributes during the songwriting process.
