Brothers Gary and Paul O’Donovan won more than just silver medals at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Scoring Ireland’s first ever Olympic medal in rowing, the pair finished only half a second behind France in the lightweight double sculls rowing competition on Friday.
Soaking up all the celebratory moment had to offer, the brothers seemed to be enjoying themselves quite a bit during their post-victory interview with Ireland’s national broadcaster, RTE.
Unlike most Olympic interviews, this cheeky exchange cut the clichés about triumph and determination. This interview had all the good stuff… pizza, peeing and “podium pants”.
They may have won silver, but these brothers get a gold in comedic achievement.
