Top 10 Commercials From Super Bowl 50

The True #SuperBowl50 Highlights

For people like myself who spend three hours on a Sunday watching a game I know nothing about, it pays off to have breaks. While I’m purposely succumbing myself to be sucked in to corporate delusion, my favorite part of the epic sports night, like many are the high profile, well-scripted and (sometimes) funny Super Bowl commercials.

Take a look at the 10 of the best commercials from this year, which this year include an assortment of animals, Alec Baldwin’s House, and accidental sponsorships:

Doritos – “Ultrasound”

Because what’s more disturbing than eating a bag of chips in a hospital? Probably your unborn child prematurely birthing himself from the womb.

Audi – “Commander”

The choice of David Bowie’s “Starman” played over top of this Astronaut relivingthe thrill of blast off is sure to give you goosebumps. Well, done Audi. We still can’t afford an R8.

National Football League – “Super Bowl Babies Choir”

According to the NFL’s data, each year, nine months after Superbowl Sunday is a boom of babies being born in the winning team’s respective city. There’s a lot of happy mommy and daddy’s out there over the Bronco’s win, but let’s just hope they don’t like Doritos too much.

Amazon Echo – “#BaldwinBowl”

Missy Elliot, Jason Schwartzman, Dan Marino and Alec Baldwin. I don’t really think much more needs to be said.

Bud Light – “Bud Light Party”

Comedians Seth Rogen and Amy Schumer team up to deliver an inspiring speech about America. Though, being a Canadian, Seth Rogen borrows a good deal of his speech from Independence Day. How else would he know?

Honda – “A New Truck To Love”

Talking animal are more often than not, pretty creepy. But good on Honda for the choice of Queen’s “Somebody To Love,” to promote their new Ridgeline Truck. It’s a sure sell.

Hyundai – “First Date”

The littlest funnyman, Kevin Hart plays an obsessive father in this classic take on the “kid goes on first date, father spends night mercilessly stalking her, scaring daughter’s first boyfriend away, scarring both emotionally for years” story model. It’s a classic!

Heinz – “Wiener Stampede”

Weiner dogs dressed up as actual wieners. Pinch yourself, this is not a dream.

Budweiser – “#GiveADamn”

Helen Mirren is a total badass, and the perfect choice for Budweiser’s movement to stop Drinking and Driving. We’re not rating anything here, but if we were, this would get a 10/10. #GiveADamn a take a look.

Peyton Manning – “Budweiser”

Peyton Manning wasn’t paid to promote it, but when asked what he was going to do post-win, his response was to thank his family, thank God and to drink a whole lot of Budweiser. Sure this isn’t a “real” commercial, but the Manning just gave Budweiser the most expensive commercial spot of the night. Cheers to free advertising!
