1. TORONTO STRIKES

Striking city workers caused problems for commuters on the Queensway near Parkside. Fresh Taste employees were striking outside Ontario Food Terminal. In other strike news, Toronto Hydro engineers voted 98 percent in favour of a strike.


 

2. WEED LEGALIZATION NEXT SPRING

The Health Minister gave the ultimate 4/20 gift yesterday and announced that the government would move to legalize marijuana by next Spring. There are reports that legalizing weed could put strain on the tax system and the Minister of Transportation is worried about “Drug Driving”.


 

3. DUFFY VERDICT

The Mike Duffy verdict is coming down today. The former senator faces 31 counts of fraud and bribery.


 

4. EAT INSECTS

Starting next week, you can pay $25 to eat insects at Cookie Martinez. The shop has been offering cricket snacks for a while. Would you do it?

It’s the Queen’s 90th birthday and she will spend the day at home with her dogs. Ah, the Royal life.
