Toronto Gets A New Children’s Museum

The Garrison Point main floor will teach children through play

In a partnership with Garrison Point condos, The Children’s Discovery Centre opened this weekend in Liberty Village. Located at 45 Strachan Avenue, the condos will eventually come above the 20,000 square foot space that’s divided into spaces designed to encourage learning through play.

The 10 “discovery zones” are focused on various aspects of knowledge, from art and reading to a mini city and campground. There’s also a space called the “Boom Room” where musical tendencies can be explored without a noise limit.

The children’s museum will stay open temporarily until October, when construction on the condos begins. It will then re-open when condo construction is done.

Admission is $13, and activities are best suited for children under 6.
