There’s nothing like sitting around a campfire with your friends, drinking a beer and enjoying some scrumptious snacks. But, you don’t have to own a fancy cottage or set up a backyard fire to enjoy the experience. You can also do it in the midst of the cityscape, on a restaurant patio. The patio is open and fire is blazing all year round down in the Distillery District. El Catrin is a delicious tapas style Mexican restaurant and go-to spot for drinks with their killer patio and atmosphere.
Also located in the Distillery District, the Mill Street Brew Pub is a go-to patio any season. Always busy with events, Mill Street offers brewery tours, food and a great patio with lounging area that includes couches and coal burning fire pits.
This spot in the Annex is just behind Rose & Sons on Dupont and serve a mean BBQ. They cook their meat on the outdoor burning fire, inspired by camping and outdoor activities in Algonquin Park, they say.
Fun fact: Tappo is co-owned by Armando Russo and his former Maple Leaf buddy Shayne Corson. The wine bar and restaurant is located in the Distillery District, and serves up traditional and delicious Italian food. The patio overlooks the historical and beautiful Distillery district, and the fire pits will keep you toasty on those chillier nights.
