It’s not the winter classic but it’s something just as exciting. The NHL has announced that they will celebrate their 100th with something called ‘The Centennial Classic’. It’s a outdoor rematch between the Leafs and the Detroit Red Wings, except this time it’s at BMO Field here in Toronto as opposed to Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Maple Leafs President Brendan Shanahan said: “The Toronto Maple Leafs are thrilled to host the 2017 NHL Centennial Classic and what will be a signature moment in our club’s 100th anniversary celebrations next season to share with all Leafs fans.”
