Toronto Startup Raised $2.5M for This Winter Coat

The Smart Parka may change the way you feel about winter weather.

Toronto company North Aware Inc. took to Kickstarter to get backing for their “Smart Parka”. They must be doing something right because The Smart Parka has raised a whopping $2.6 Million, with only about two days to go.

Deemed to be “The World’s First Complete Winter Coat” each cozy parka comes equipped with gloves, a scarf, and an extension for harsh winds. The waterproof coat features two different temperature ranges and also has protective, yet comfy, pockets for a tablet, phone, glasses, and even a place to keep a tracker tag (just incase you have too much to drink and leave it somewhere). To read more in-depth about these features, check out their Kickstarter page.

The Smart Parka comes in four styles for women and three styles for men, costing around $400 each.
