Chris Martin and company have just released a new video from the Head Full of Dreams single “Birds.”
Shot at the Salvation Mountain in the California desert, the kaleidoscope-style effects recall a Hunter S Thompson-induced acid trip. “Birds” was shot and directed by Marcus Haney, the director behind Mumford and Sons’s “The Wolf” video shot at Bonnaroo, and Young The Giant’s “Apartment” music video which has similar aesthetics.
Coldplay recently released a video for the album’s initial single “Adventure of a Lifetime,” which is available here. Check out “Birds” in the player above.
