Tickets for The Tragically Hip’s final tour go on sale June 3rd at 10am. While you may already be going through memories and nostalgic moments soundtracked by The Hip, here’s one you may have missed: their SNL performance from 1995.

Six months after debuting at number one on the Canadian charts with the album Day For Night, The Tragically Hip performed on Saturday Night Live.

Even now, though beloved and woven into the fabric of Canada, the band at the time remained quite unknown in America. It seems only fitting that another Canadian and Kingston, Ontario native, Dan Aykroyd, introduced them… though the host of that episode was actually John Goodman.
