Danny Brown’s Atrocity Exhibition was one of the best-reviewed records of 2016, and personally, the best hip-hop record of the year. If you can call it that. The record went deep in experimentation, fusing a multitude of sonics that worked together seamlessly. He is the only person that could’ve made such an album.
One of the standout tracks, “Ain’t It Funny,” got a visual treatment today, and boy is it ever incredible. It’s an ’80s sitcom where everything goes wrong. It stars Brown himself, alongside Gus Van Sant (Good Will Hunting, Milk) and Joanna Kerns from Growing Pains.
Directed by none other than Jonah Hill, you’re in for an absolute treat.
