Watch: Mac DeMarco Covers James Taylor’s “I Was A Fool To Care”

"Every now and then a doggie needs his sweet baby James"

Looks like our ol’ pal Mac DeMarco was feeling a little nostalgic after the passing of Prince late last week.

Following the release of an unreleased demo earlier in the week, the gap-toothed rocker covered a favourite James Taylor song with the help of his touring keyboardist Jon Lent. The pair shared a video accompaniment, starring Yuki “The Dog Man” Kikuchi dressed up in a gimp bondage mask, serenading a poster of the folk legend.

It’s weird, a bit scary and everything you’d expect from Mac DeMarco. Along with the video, he shared this message: “Every now and then a doggie needs his sweet baby James. RIP Prince.”
