Watch: Man Smashes Trump’s Hollywood Walk of Fame Star with Pickaxe

"I'm terribly upset that we have a presidential nominee who's become sort of the poster child for sexual violence."

LAPD have arrested a man who publicly smashed Donald Trump’s Hollywood Walk of Fame Star earlier this week.

The man, who identified himself as James Otis, was seen by camera crews smashing the star with a sledgehammer and pickaxe.

“I’ve had four or five family members sexually assaulted,” he told CNN. “I’m terribly upset that we have a presidential nominee who’s become sort of the poster child for sexual violence.”

Otis says he’s going to sell the gold emblem in the middle of the star online and donate the funds to the women who claimed to have been sexually assaulted by Trump.

President of the Hollywood Walk of Fame Leron Gubler, spoke to press about the incident:

“When people are unhappy with one of our honorees, we would hope that they would project their anger in more positive ways than to vandalize a California State landmark. Our democracy is based on respect for the law. People can make a difference by voting and not destroying public property.”
