We’re only a few short weeks away from Iggy Stardust aka David Bowie’s upcoming album ★ (pronounced Blackstar) release on January 8th.
The new album coincides with the singers off-Broadway play Lazarus. The leading man Michael C. Hall, who plays Bowie, took to Colbert Thursday night to perform the title track of the play (and lead single from ★), “Lazarus.” Rocking a nearly-spot on Bowie impression, along with his signature method acting chops, it might be the closest thing to a live Bowie performance since he swore them off after a health scare.
