The inaugural Eaux Claires music festival went down this past weekend, and there was no shortage of talent. Headliners included Bon Iver and The National (Justin Vernon and Bryce Dessner created and curated the entire event), as well as crowd favourite Sufjan Stevens.
As many of the performers are long-time friends, crowds could expect numerous guest appearances during each artists’ set. During The National’s closing performance the first night, both Vernon and Stevens hopped up on stage: Sufjan singing backup during “Afraid Of Everyone,” “Squalor Victoria,” and “I Need My Girl,” and Justin soloing “Slow Show” and “Terrible Love.”
