An Instagram account by the name of Vinyl popped up earlier this week, sporting just one post: a teaser trailer for the upcoming HBO series from Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger.
Sex, drugs, rock n’ roll: this series has it all. The air date is currently as vague as sometime in 2016, but HBO’s official website has more details.
The fictional drama is set in 1970s New York, and follows the drug-addled music business at the dawn of punk, disco, and hip-hop, seen through the eyes of a record label president. Check out the teaser below:
The cast looks stellar: Olivia Wilde, Ray Romano, and Juno Temple are all signed on as series regulars. Vinyl also has Terence Winter (of The Sopranos and Boardwalk Empire) on board as executive producer.
