The trailer for Goon 2 was released today. If the hockey scenes look very familiar, it’s because they movie was partially shot at the Barrie Molson Centre last year.
The sequel is titled Goon: The Last of The Enforcers. Most of the original cast returns, along with a few new faces. Seann William Scott reprises his role as Doug “The Thug” Glatt. Former NHL enforcers George Parros and Colton Orr also make cameos.
This time around the film is set during a lockout of the pro ice hockey season, and it sees The Thug’s team the Halifax Highlanders deciding to reunite with a group of new players.
The film is slated for release on March 17th in Canada.
