Watch: Trailer for New Netflix Original ‘The OA’

Netflix keeping most of the details surrounding this new mystery series under wraps

Netflix’s newest series, The OA, is set to release tomorrow and the show’s premise has, for the most part, remained a total mystery. Netflix has been really adamant about not giving anything away, and this new 38 second official trailer leaves us with nothing but literal puzzles.

However, a recent press release has given us a little more insight into the show’s plot:

“The show begins with a missing blind girl in her twenties, Prairie Johnson (Brit Marling), who comes home to the community she grew up in with her sight restored. Some hail her a miracle, others a dangerous mystery, but Prairie won’t talk about her seven years missing with the FBI or her parents.”

A few short clips from the show have also been released on The OA’s official Facebook page.

This eight chapter odyssey promises a lot of potential and is backed by a talented creative duo. Zal Batmanglij, who is the brother of Rostam Batmanglij (former keyboardist of Vampire Weekend), is co-writing and executive producing the show alongside of Brit Marling, who is also starring as the show’s main character, Prairie Johnson.
