Wintery hideouts just outside of Toronto to escape the city freeze

Maybe you’re tired of the holiday garb, in-laws popping over unannounced, and the stress of the post-Holiday clean-up. It’s time to get the hell out of here to keep warm where you can relax and drink hot coffee while taking in the stunning scenery of our beautiful province.

Here’re some of the best winter road trip weekend getaways from Toronto.

A quick four hour car ride up to our capital to skate on 7.8 kilometer skating rink could be as fun as it is romantic. The historic Canal winds through historic Ottawa stretching down to Dows Lake. Call it a weekend and grab one of the many local hotels in the area and take in the sculptures painted with snow.
