WORLD VIDEO PREMIERE: Fast Romantics “Julia”

Fred Astaire Joins the Fast Romantics for "Julia" Music Video

Since taking home the Pop Group of the Year award at the 2014 Sirius XM Indies, Fast Romantics has been busy working on a full-length follow up LP to 2013’s Afterlight Blues. The band just dropped their first single from it yesterday, called “Julia” — and boy is it catchy.

Recorded this past winter in Brooklyn with producer Gus Van Go (Hollerado, The Stills), the mix of chiming guitars and pop harmonies will no doubt want to make you get up and move.

Though the band released a lyric video “Julia” featuring a tap-dancing Fred Astaire, he’s back for their official video, this time performing some impressive gravity-defying tricks from the 1951 classic Royal Wedding. This time however, the members of Fast Romantics have somehow found themselves stuck with Mr. Astaire as he performs this routine in a room.

If you were in a bad mood before, prepare to get your spirits lifted. We’re happy to bring to you the world premiere of Fast Romantic’s “Julia” music video:

While there’s no news right now on when we can expect the new LP, the band is taking the summer off to play a number of Canadian shows. Check below for dates.
