You Can Now Make Music Using Google Chrome

The latest update removes the need for special software

Google Chrome’s latest update added MIDI support, which means that app developers can make use of MIDI-enabled musical instruments and tools.

The new Web MIDI API allows websites to work cohesively with MIDI devices connected to a computer, tablet or even smartphone. This is a big change from recent Chrome apps that use the computer keyboard.

To check out the fancy new update, playing around with the Web Audio MIDI Synthesizer is a good place to start. But, if you don’t own a MIDI controller, you can still play with this drum machine (if you’ve got a mouse and keyboard).
