Death Cab for Cutie just released their eighth studio album Kintsugi on Tuesday and Ben Gibbard came by the chat with Bookie about the new record. If you missed the Your First Listen Album Special on air, stream the entire thing below!
Kintsugi is a sentimental album for the group as it’s the last album with contributions from founding member Chris Walla. Although he left the band before the album was released, Walla left his prints all over it. Drummer Jason McGerr said, “[Chris] played on everything and has been involved all the way through, even in the mixing. Even though he’s played his last show with us, he’s still been involved in everything involving this record.”
