The Right Sound for the Right Price

Summer’s not over yet, just ask Lana Del Ray! Her third full-length album Honeymoon is due out in September, but this one is hot enough to keep your summer going as long as you want. It might remind you a bit of her breakout hit “Video Games,” so strip down to your skivvies and get “High By The Beach” with Lana Del Ray.

Brand new album from the Hamilton rockers Young Rivals coming October 16, and they’re on tour with their pals Born Ruffians right now! Talk about the most fun tour ever! This is the first single from the album of the same name, here’s “Interior Light” by Young Rival.

Combining members of Franz Ferdinand and 70s art rockers Sparks, you’ve got a new supergroup creatively named: Franz Ferdinand & Sparks – “FFS” for short. They released a self-titled album back in June combining new wave with NEW new wave…makes a lot of sense doesn’t it? Indie88 presents Franz Ferdinand & Sparks September 30th at the Sound Academy, and this is “Call Girl”.

Elvy is the plural of Elvis but also a new project from The National’s Matt Berninger and Brent Knopf of Portland indie rock group Menomena. It might freak you out a little to hear Berninger’s familiar brooding voice with a fun, dancey indie pop underneath, but give it a second and it starts to feel so so right. You can cry, you can bust a move, Go FOR IT! “Return to the Moon” from Elvy.

The Internet is a group made up of members of hip hop collective Odd Future, Syd the Kid, and Matt Martians, and they dropped their latest album Ego Death in July. This is a trippy R&B track from that album, and if you listen carefully you might hear what sounds like the Twilight Zone theme repurposed in the background. Check it out! Here’s The Internet with “Girl”.
