Hannah Georgas – “Crazy Shit”

After her Field Trip mainstage debut it was announced local artist Hannah Georgas’ album For Evelyn became Long Listed for the Polaris Music Prize! It’s great that this stunning record is getting more love, so let’s keep it going with this one.

Ascot Royals – “Tectonic”

Locals Ascot Royals have been getting more attention after a cross country tour with Big Wreck. They know the value of a catchy chorus and solid rock ‘n’ roll rhythms, you’ll see!

Whitehorse – “Pink Kimono”

Whitehorse are quite prolific, following up a Juno nominated blues collection with their latest cinematic and sassy album Panther in the Dollhouse. Clap along and groove to this new track!

Megative – “More Time”

You gotta love a great band description to build intrigue. Case in point, Brooklyn’s Megative just signed to Last Gang and say they’re “Part Gorillaz, part The Clash, laced with King Tubby-style dub FX and swirling sirens straight out of Massive Attack’s sound-system.” Sounds good to me! Now let’s see what it actually sounds like.

Taylor Knox – “The Stars”

Let’s get local! For years Taylor Knox was a secret weapon for many local acts as a hired gun, but after releasing an awesome solo EP, he’s back with the debut full length album called Love. No surprise, it’s filled with sweetness and heartfelt lyrics.
