The Right Sound for the Right Price

Mother Mother – “The Drugs”

Mother Mother definitely have their own unique sound and sometimes the harmonies and odd lyrics are a bit of a grower, well, not anymore, they’ve come out swinging with a slick new track called “The Drugs,” which is all about “finding an avenue to effect positive change for oneself.” New Mother Mother, “The Drugs.”

The xx – “On Hold”

The xx are back after a bit of a break. They branched out of their normal writing and recording routine of studio isolation and wrote, tested out tracks, and recorded their upcoming album in various locations around the world from Reykjavik, Iceland, to Marfa, Texas. If you loved Jamie xx’s solo record, you’ll be happy to hear his production fingerprints all over this new track “On Hold.”

Let’s get local and give props to Canadian Arts funding! Toronto duo Featurette received a full recording grant from FACTOR to help get more Toronto dreamy synth pop out in the world. Check them out opening for Coleman Hell December 1st at the Phoenix! Here’s Featurette “Give A Little.”

Milky Chance – “Cocoon”

When was the last time you listened to a German folk duo with a DJ? Well you definitely heard Milky Chance’s catchy track “Stolen Dance,” which took them three years to write, but you don’t have to wait that long for a new one! Milky Chance just released this new track November 11th, here’s their latest “Cocoon.”

Paul Janeway – “Healing”

Well, it seems like we could use some healing, and you’re about to to get from from St. Paul! Well, Paul Janeway, he’s the frontman of a soul band out of Birmingham, Alabama called Saint Paul and the Broken Bones who ripped up the Danforth the other week for their sold out show. Paul’s gone went solo for this one. Time for Paul Janeway’s “Healing”
