5 Movies With Songs Names

Song vs. Movie, which is better? You decide.

Hey guess what? Sometimes movies use song titles as their names. Sometimes the song is better, sometimes the movie is. Here are some examples:

Cabin Fever – Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
This one is debatable. On both sides. I think you either love or hate both the movie and the song. I happen to love both.

Sweet Home Alabama – Lynyrd Skynyrd
No bones about it, the song is 100% better than the movie. I remember being dragged to this chick flick by a girl so lovely I couldn’t say no. I still have mega regrets about wasting the however many minutes.

Pretty In Pink – The Psychedelic Furs
Oh boy! How do you choose? HOW DO YOU CHOOSE! This is a tie all the way. The movie is a cult classic. It has one of the best soundtracks of all movies of all time which includes the song with the same name. If you don’t like one, or the other, we can’t be friends! (Jokes, I can’t commit to that).

(Oh,) Pretty Woman – Roy Orbison
I’m going with song on this one. I loved the movie as a young innocent girl but I kinda loathe it now. What exactly does it teach us about love? Not everything gets wrapped up so nicely in the end does it? No. I’m not really that passionate about it (ha!) the song is better though.

Dazed and Confused – Led Zeppelin version
I used to watch this movie every single weekend at one point in my life. I’m not sure what that says about my past social life but whatever. It’s the kind of movie that you stop and watch if it happens to be on TV. Great cast, great music, good times, it has it all. The song, even though it’s not on the movie soundtrack, it’s equally as amazing because Zeppelin can do no wrong.
