5 Things to do in (and around) Toronto this Weekend

Supercrawl, flea markets, concerts, and more

Toronto is busy this weekend! With TIFF bringing in celebrities along with many visitors to the city, you can expect lots of excitement within Toronto’s streets over the next few days. Whether it rains or not, take advantage of the final remnants of summer by checking out these events below.

Hamilton Supercrawl

Okay so this event is definitely not in Toronto, but if you can swing it, get to Hamilton this weekend and check out their Supercrawl. This annual event is huge and runs all weekend, bringing the best in food and culture to Hamilton. This year’s musical guests include The Sheepdogs (as well as their spinoff BROS), PUP, Sam Roberts Band, Aron D’alesio, and Tanya Tagaq.

TIFF

The Toronto International Film Festival is in full swing, which means their are a ton of films and events to check out this weekend. Click here to read our guide to TIFF 2017 to plan accordingly.

See a Concert

If all else fails this weekend, go to a concert. Queens of the Stone Age will be playing at the Budweiser Stage tomorrow night (Sept 9). Click here for more info.

Music in the Park is also happening at Barbara Hall Park, located at Church and Wellesley. This event, which takes place Saturday and Sunday from 7 p.m. to p.m., features a free concert in the park with live local music.

Visit a patio BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE

There’s only two official weeks left of summer, so grab a beer on a patio while the weather allows it. For ideas, check out our guide to Toronto’s best patios here.

Parkdale Flea Market

The Fall Edition of the Parkdale Flea Market is happening this weekend. Try your hand at antiquing, or browse through a selection of vintage finds, collectables, designer products, crafts, food, and more by local artisans. Entry is free, and a BYOD policy is in place (bring your own dog). The Parkdale Flea Market opens this Sunday, September 10 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 1266 Queen St West.
